Workforce Solutions, in collaboration with Kaweah Health, invites applications for a BSN Nursing Instructor in Visalia, CA. The role centers on providing clinical site education and laboring with an OB specialty focus to support workforce development programs.

Responsibilities include coordinating skills labs and clinical rotations, evaluating student performance, and maintaining thorough student records. Hours vary by rotation; pay range is 55–70 USD per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid California BRN license for nursing education.
• Eligible for approval by CA BRN as Instructor in Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• Master’s degree with coursework in nursing, education, or administration; relevant faculty assignment.
• BSN and enrollment in a Master’s program may be considered for TA roles.
• Minimum four years’ RN experience with recent direct patient care.
• Experience teaching nursing topics or course content; clinical teaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide education in skills lab and clinical settings per curriculum and faculty expertise.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in assigned facilities.
• Evaluate student performance relative to clinical outcomes per policies.
• Provide timely feedback after observation of clinical events.
• Maintain student records, attendance, skill check-offs, and data collection.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs.
• Determine best methods to observe, instruct, and evaluate students.
• Pursue continuous improvements in instruction quality.
• Incorporate online activities to enrich course content and learning.
• Submit program reports to Academic Site Director on time.
• Stay current with innovative technologies and safety regulations.
• Participate in nursing program committees as needed; attend faculty meetings.
• Provide accessible communication with students via office hours or other methods.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
