Job summary

MDS Staffing in the United States seeks an experienced OB RN Director to lead a maternity team and ensure exceptional care for mothers and newborns. The role focuses on clinical leadership, mentorship, and adherence to standards across labor and delivery.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts, a salary range of $101,172 to $136,594 per year, and bonuses including a $5,000 sign-on and up to $5,000 relocation assistance for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license and an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
• BLS-HCP certification.
• 4 years of Labor and Delivery experience (preferred).
• 2 years of healthcare leadership experience (preferred).
• NRP, AWHONN-EFM, AWHONN-POEP, and STABLE certifications current or within 1 year.
• Annual influenza vaccination or declination required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee patient care in the OB department, utilizing the nursing process.
• Identify and address issues affecting clinical service delivery.
• Conduct performance improvement studies and support related initiatives.
• Act as a resource for staff and external contacts regarding patient care, flow, and clinical standards.
• Ensure departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and healthcare standards.
• Manage staff scheduling, educational activities, and performance evaluations.
• Provide and coordinate educational needs for patients, specifically in Labor and Delivery.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
