Qualifications

• Active AHIMA/AAPC credential required.
• Two years of recent coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding sets.
• Ability to code at a 95% quality threshold.

Responsabilités

• Select and sequence ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure APC assignments reflect diagnoses/procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures, and discharge disposition.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Engage with client staff to clarify coding inquiries.

Formation

AHIMA credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCA) or AAPC credential (COC/CCS-P/CPC/CPC-H)

Associates degree in HIM or healthcare-related field

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
