Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• Two years of recent coding experience required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS.
• Ability to maintain 95% coding quality and meet client standards.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review records to ensure accurate APC assignments and E/M codes.
• Abstract data from records to support diagnoses and procedures.
• Collaborate with client staff for data integrity and compliance.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and continuing education.
