Axia Women’s Health in Englewood, NJ is hiring a Patient Service Representative (PSR) for a full-time position. You will greet patients, register them, collect copayments, and route calls while supporting medical staff in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and prior PSR/reception experience preferred, with strong customer service, adaptability, and teamwork.

• Medical Receptionist/PSR experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills & communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
• Ability to maintain composure and navigate a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Team player.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week including some evening hours
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide coverage at satellite location(s), where applicable, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and visitors, assisting, and directing them accordingly to the appropriate waiting area.
• Paging or phoning appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam room.
• Explaining financial requirements to patients, collecting, and recording copayments as required.
• Performing registration functions for new and existing patients and activating patient files.
• Promptly and professionally answering and routing calls to appropriate personnel, paging, offering voicemail, or redirecting calls as needed.
• Retrieving and appropriately routing any messages from the answering service.
• Providing additional support to patients and medical staff and performing other duties as assigned.
• Courteously screening solicitors for relevance to organizational needs.
• Adhering to infection control and safety guidelines as well as maintaining confidentiality regarding all patients and following confidentiality policies per HIPAA compliance.
