Job summary

Axia Women's Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative for Contemporary Womens Care in West Orange, NJ. You will greet patients, register them, handle calls, collect copays, and direct visitors to the exam area.

Shifts include one early morning start at 6:45 am and one evening shift per week, totaling about 40 hours. Candidates should be customer-focused and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Previous Medical Receptionist/PSR experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and direct to waiting areas.
• Register new and existing patients and activate files.
• Answer calls, route messages, and assist staff as needed.

• Provide coverage at satellite locations when required.

We have an opening for a Patient Services Representative (PSR) at Contemporary Womens Care in West Orange, NJ.

Hours: Schedule will consist of one early morning (beginning 6:45 am) shift, and one evening shift (ending 6:30 pm) per week.

Location(s): West Orange, NJ

• Greeting patients and visitors, assisting, and directing them accordingly to the appropriate waiting area.
• Paging or phoning appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam room.
• Explaining financial requirements to patients, collecting, and recording copayments as required.
• Performing registration functions for new and existing patients and activating patient files.
• Promptly and professionally answering and routing calls to appropriate personnel, paging, offering voicemail, or redirecting calls as needed.
• Retrieving and appropriately routing any messages from the answering service.
• Providing additional support to patients and medical staff and performing other duties as assigned.
• Courteously screening solicitors for relevance to organizational needs.
• Adhering to infection control and safety guidelines as well as maintaining confidentiality regarding all patients and following confidentiality policies per HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Medical Receptionist/PSR experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills & communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
• Ability to maintain composure and navigate a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Team player.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week including some evening hours
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide coverage at satellite location(s), where applicable, as needed.

Pay or shift range: $18 USD to $21 USD
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
