Job summary

Yale New Haven Health System seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team and deliver comprehensive patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role requires NP/PA training with CT licensure, NCCPA certification, and successful credentialing within the Yale New Haven Health System; prior clinical experience is preferred but new grads may be considered. This is a full-time on-site position supporting our patient-centered care model.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program required.
• Previous clinical experience as an NP/PA preferred; new graduates may be considered.
• Current NCCPA certification and Connecticut PA license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications as applicable.
• DEA registration if required; PALS/NRP for designated pediatric roles.
• Credentialing and medical staff appointment through Yale New Haven Health System.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, triage, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management across inpatient, ambulatory, and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans within state licensure and institutional guidelines.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EMR and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and credentialing processes.
