Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Active NCCPA certification and Connecticut Physician Assistant license; ACLS/BLS; DEA as indicated for position profile.
• Maintain licensure and continuing education per hospital/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team.
• Obtain histories, perform exams, review tests, formulate and manage treatment plans; document thoroughly.
• Assist in operative cases when appropriate and participate in on‑call rotations to support continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families, provide psychosocial support, and ensure quality and safety in patient care.
