Sentara Health in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Senior Director of Business Operations for OB/GYN services across markets. The role directs and optimizes operations of multiple practice locations and leads Directors to deliver high-quality care.

You will align operational strategy with health plan and system goals, develop growth initiatives, manage budgeting and staffing, and drive patient-focused performance across the network.

Qualifications

• Master’s Level or Doctorate Degree required in healthcare-related field.
• Managing business operations 5+ years to support healthcare delivery services.
• Financial planning and management experience.
• Hiring, developing, and managing multidisciplinary teams across markets.
• Collaborating with Acute, Health Plan and Ambulatory leaders to optimize footprint and communication.
• Understanding IT solutions to support workflows and referrals to services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee business operations of all assigned OB/GYN practices across markets.
• Align operational strategy with health plan and system needs; maintain patient-focused care.
• Develop strategies to improve productivity, performance, staff retention, and patient satisfaction.
• Prioritize resources to meet objectives specific to specialty and market needs.
• Communicate effectively to enable region-wide coordination among physicians and staff.
• Foster employee relations, trust, and leadership in key initiatives.
• Improve quality, patient experience, and total cost of care.
