Job summary

Effingham Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a full-time Medical Back Office Assistant to support physicians and medical staff. The BOA will assist with patient flow, examinations prep, specimen handling, and room sanitation to ensure smooth operations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, CNA preferred, and strong interpersonal skills. You’ll work in a fast-paced medical office, multitask, and help deliver a patient-centered experience with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and external parties.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced medical office.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellent customer service and supports patient- and family-centered care.
• Chaperones providers during patient exams.
• Prepares for, sets up and assists with examinations per protocols.
• Ensures collected samples are properly labeled and transported to the lab.
• Inventories and restocks supplies as needed.
• Sanitizes rooms and equipment for the next patient.
