Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Responsible for clinic patient flow and informing physicians of arrivals.
• Accompanies and assists patients in exam rooms in a professional manner.
• Obtains vital signs: height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration.
• Operates vital signs equipment and imports results to the EMR.
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
• May take patient medical history as applicable.
• Performs testing, diagnostic, and screening procedures as needed.
• Explains test procedures to patients.
• Calculates medication dosages and demonstrates competency annually.
• Administers medications by various routes after competency verification.
