Job summary

Women’s Care PC is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical support in our OB/GYN and primary care settings. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist providers during procedures, and help maintain clean, well-stocked rooms.

The role requires phlebotomy and injections as needed, strong medical terminology knowledge, and the ability to document vital signs and patient information in our EMR (eCW).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred or ability to obtain MA certification within 120 days.
• Current CPR and/or BLS certification preferred or able to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience in OBGYN or Primary Care a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections if applicable.
• Ability to perform dosage calculations and measurement conversions.
• Proficient computer skills and EMR data entry (eCW).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during treatment and testing.
• Sterilize rooms, restock supplies, and maintain a clean work environment.
• Record patient history, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist with phlebotomy and injections as directed.
• Educate patients and relay messages to providers.
• Communicate professionally with staff and patients.
• Demonstrate HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
