Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or Medical Assistant Certification.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• 3+ years clinical experience, including 1+ years as a Medical Assistant.
• Proficiency with computers, EMR systems, and reagent knowledge.
• Understanding testing procedures and result factors.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring smooth patient flow and greeting patients
• Preparing patients for exams, measuring vital signs, and assisting with clinical procedures
• Updating electronic medical records with accurate patient information and test results
• Recommending and performing point-of-care testing (e.g., strep, urine, glucose)
• Reconciling medications and addressing minor patient concerns
• Providing patient education regarding exam preparations

Education

High school diploma or Medical Assistant Certification

Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days

3+ years clinical experience, including 1+ years as a Medical Assistant

Associate degree or medical assistant certification program graduate

ACLS certification may be required based on specialty
