Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Less than 1 year experience in ambulatory care required; externship preferred.
• For Cardiology offices: 6 months experience or related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient preparation and examinations.
• Support the clinical care team to maintain patient flow and provide clerical support.
• Document activities in EMR and perform select tests as allowed.
• Venipuncture, vaccine administration, vital signs and basic specimen processing.
• Float to other sites as needed and attend staff trainings.
