Job summary

Legacy Community Health is seeking a Medical Assistant - Acres Homes (OB/GYN) in Houston, TX. This role supports providers in examinations, minor procedures, lab services, and patient education within a team-based primary care setting.

The OB/GYN MA will assist with phlebotomy, specimen processing, injections, and medication administration, while helping keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant with safety standards. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/CPR Certification required.
• Up to one year experience preferred; up to three years desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and vital signs.
• Record medical history and test results in medical records.
• Collect blood and specimens; prepare for testing.
• Assist physicians in examinations and procedures.
• Provide injections and remove sutures as directed.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies.
• Participate in safety and OSHA-focused processes.
• Demonstrate respectful communication with patients and families.
