Job summary

Privia Health seeks a Medical Assistant for an OB/GYN practice, full-time and onsite at our care center in Houston, TX. You will support clinicians, manage patient flow, and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR while upholding high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, helping with exams, obtaining vitals, and coordinating referrals. The ideal candidate has 2+ years as a MA in an OB/GYN setting and CPR certification, with strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• OB/GYN experience is required or strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices.
• Current CPR certification and medical assisting credentials.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms and prep for exams.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs, obtain urine specimens and document symptoms.
• Handle lab slips, referrals, scheduling, and chart updates.
• Maintain patient charts and EMR documentation.
• Educate patients on care, medications, and procedures.
• Ensure a safe, clean clinical environment and infection control.
