Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for a Georgia clinic. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, coordinating care with physicians, and assisting with procedures. Must have MA training and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military training in lieu of a program.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and maintains competency.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, history, health maintenance, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely following medication rights.
• Cross trained for duties within clinic scope and maintains timely patient communication.
