Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or completion of a Medical Assistant Training program.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within 6 months.
• Two or more years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Preferred experience in a large, complex healthcare system.
• Knowledge of patient care, environmental care functions, equipment/supply management, and cleaning/disinfecting.
• Knowledge of online scheduling, universal precautions, and body mechanics.
• Ability to take initiative and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for appointments, including rooming and vital signs.
• Assist during visits as a chaperone and support documentation by scanning medical records.
• Support front office services on a routine or back-up basis.
• Help maintain clinic workflow in the OB/GYN department.
• Environmental care, equipment and supply management, and cleaning/disinfecting.
