Job summary

Valley Perinatal Services in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant (Float) to support front and back office operations in a busy OB/GYN clinic. You will perform blood draws, vitals, injections, chart prep, and patient intake while delivering compassionate care.

The ideal candidate has an MA certificate, at least 3 years of experience (OB/GYN preferred), EMR experience (Athena a plus), and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365. Regular, full-time employment with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Minimum 3 years of experience, OB/GYN preferred.
• Experience with EMR system; Athena knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Back Office: blood draws, non-stress tests, injections, vitals.
• Assist in procedures such as Amniocentesis, Cerclage Removal, CVS.
• Schedule surgeries with local hospitals and coordinate times with patients/providers.
• Respond to portal messages between patient and provider.
• Front Office: greet patients, handle inquiries, schedule/confirm appointments.
• Verify and update patient demographics; collect co-pays and past-due balances.
