Job summary

Axia Women's Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Chester County OBGYN location in Downingtown, PA. This on-site role may travel to support additional offices in the region.

Responsibilities include patient intake, rooming, basic procedures, specimen collection, and EHR documentation. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; prior OB/GYN experience is preferred. Competitive benefits are offered with full-time status.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• National certification as Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA) is required.
• Phlebotomy experience is required; certification preferred.
• CPR certification required if performing office-based surgeries.
• OB/GYN or women’s health experience is preferred.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge patients professionally.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure comfort.
• Prepare patients for examinations and complete intake.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Record blood pressure, height, weight, and temperature.
• Assist with office-based procedures and minor surgeries.
• Administer medications and injections as ordered.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform CLIA-waived tests.
• Enter orders in CPOE and support medication/test orders.
• Ensure rooms and instruments are clean and sterile.
• Provide patient information about procedures and follow-up care.
• Assist with scheduling and follow-up visits.
• Support mobility of patients and patient safety within the clinic.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure smooth operations.
