Job summary

Axia Women’s Health in Downingtown, PA seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join Chester County OBGYN on-site. Travel to West Chester, Exton & Kennett Square may be required.

You will greet patients, prepare for exams, document records, perform routine procedures, collect specimens, and support providers during surgeries and office visits. Strong communication, teamwork, and EHR skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Current national certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA) required.
• Phlebotomy experience required; certification preferred.
• CPR Certification required if performing Office Based Surgeries.
• OB/GYN or Women’s Health experience preferred.
• eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge patients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure they are comfortable.
• Prepare patients for examinations, complete comprehensive clinical intake.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Administer medications and injections as ordered by providers.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Perform CLIA waived tests per Axia and Care Center Protocols
• Perform blood draws.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and follow-up visits.
• Understand how to appropriately perform Nonstress Test (NST).
• Work collaboratively with physicians, providers, nurses, and other staff to ensure efficient practice operations.
