Olmsted Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Birth Center. The role focuses on sterile technique, instrument handling, and teamwork within the delivery suite to support cesarean and obstetric procedures.

The position requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program, NBSTSA certification, and BLS within 90 days. Experience in direct patient care is preferred, with flexibility for rapid changes in a high-track obstetric setting.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program required.
• NBSTSA certification as Surgical Technologist.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of nursing assistant or direct patient care experience preferred.
• Demonstrates flexibility with rapidly changing work environments.

Responsabilidades

• Sterile setup of back table and Mayo stand for cesarean procedures.
• Performs initial counts with RN circulator in delivery spaces.
• Assists with gowning, gloving, draping, and sterile field establishment.
• Participates in surgical timeout and supports surgeon needs.
• Passes medications and hemostatic agents on sterile field.
• Maintains instrument sterilization, stocking, and turnover duties.
• Documents patient care activities and ensures chart accuracy.
• Supports obstetric team as directed during STAT cesarean sections.
• Assists with transport and preparation of birth center equipment.
