Texas Attorney General is seeking attorneys with progressive experience levels for Assistant Attorney General I–IV roles. Candidates should meet base qualifications and may advance with additional full-time legal experience as a licensed attorney, including demands of family law, jury trials, and high-volume practice. Spanish language proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

  • All of the above qualifications for an Assistant Attorney General I.
  • Plus: One year of full-time experience in licensed attorney roles; Assistant Attorney General III.
  • All of the above qualifications for an Assistant Attorney General II.
  • Plus: One additional year of full-time experience in licensed attorney roles; Assistant Attorney General IV.
  • All of the above qualifications for an Assistant Attorney General III, plus: one more year of full-time experience as a licensed attorney.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two years' experience in handling Family Law cases.
  • Experience in jury trials.
  • Experience in a high-volume legal practice.
  • Other language: ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.

    Two years' experience in handling Family Law cases
    Jury Trial Experience
    Experience in handling a high-volume legal practice
    Other Language: Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak Spanish
