Job summary

Goodwill Talent Solutions is seeking an attorney to perform work for the Child Support Division. The role involves representing state interests in judicial and administrative matters, and providing legal advice, consultation and technical assistance to the Child Support Program and staff.

The candidate will assist with locating and enforcing court orders, handle medical support issues, and support high-volume proceedings. A Texas law license and JD degree are required.

Qualifications

• One-year experience in handling Family Law cases in Texas.
• Experience in handling a high volume legal practice.
• Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist Office of the Attorney General Attorneys in legal proceedings to locate, establish, enforce or terminate court orders for child support.
• Represent the State of Texas in administrative hearings and provide legal advice, consultation and technical assistance to the Child Support Program.
• Develops and delivers training; supports OAG trial lawyers by preparing sound opinions, conducting investigations and performing legal research.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED

TAAGs will assist Office of the Attorney General Attorneys in legal proceedings to locate, establish, enforce, modify or terminate court orders for child support.

Support and medical support. Represents the State of Texas in administrative hearings, Provides legal advice, consultation and technical assistance to the Child Support Program. Develops and delivers training. Skill in legal writing, mediation, and negotiation. Supporting OAG trial lawyers by preparing sound opinions, conducting investigations and performing legal research.

Experience

One-year experience in handling Family Law cases in the state of Texas. Experience in handling a high volume legal practice.

Education

Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Licensing

Must be licensed to practice Law in the state of Texas.
