Job description

O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, is seeking a JD Edwards Developer to join our team. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.

Responsibilities:

  1. Translate business requirements into accurate application specifications collaborating with stakeholders and key business analysts.
  2. Design, create, implement and maintain integrations between JD Edwards and other systems in an API first strategy.
  3. Write, test and implement programs using JD Edwards One Tools and other support toolsets, including EDI.
  4. Write stable, reusable code conforming to JD Edwards and Microsoft Teams coding styles and standards.
  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation related to JD Edwards development and support activities.
  6. Customize existing JD Edwards applications to enhance functionality.

Qualifications:

  1. 5-7 years of recent JD Edwards development and support experience.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
  3. Extensive knowledge and understanding of JD Edwards development tools (OMW, RDA, FDA, Orchestrator and API development).
  4. Experience with upgrades, migrations, and 3rd party integrations.
  5. Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Strong analytical mindset.
  8. Technical skills such as SQL is a plus.
