Job summary

SCO Family of Services is seeking an Intake Specialist/Intake Worker for overnight coverage in the Bronx. The role involves shift coverage, on-call nights, and crisis intervention to support at-risk adults.

Qualifications

• BA preferred; Associates Degree required.
• Fire Safety and Fire Coordinator Certificate, CPR/1st Aid and Crisis Intervention/Conflict Resolution Training and State Certification.
• Must possess good writing and communication skills.
• Some experience in the field of safety and working with at-risk adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide for shift coverage and be on call nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be flexible and accept changes to assignment/schedule.
• Implement preventive measures through crisis intervention and conflict resolution modalities.
• Implement proper recording and reporting systems for consumer and staff safety.
• Prepare incident reports.
• Conduct curfew checks.
• Conduct building inspections and rounds.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Commitment to empowering others to solve their own problems.
