Job summary

Scholastic in New York City is seeking an entry-level Sales Support professional to assist the commissioned gift rep sales force, attend seasonal gift shows, and prepare presentations for in-house accounts.

You will coordinate with internal teams, conduct industry research to identify new growth opportunities, manage sample mailings, and help grow key group accounts. The role requires strong communication and Excel skills, with in-office attendance in SoHo.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role in publishing or with a literary agent is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioned gift rep sales force and attend seasonal gift shows.
• Prepare title presentations for in-house accounts.
• Oversee event orders and author orders.
• Coordinate with customer service, Marketing, Publicity, and Operations.
• Conduct industry research to build leads and growth opportunities.
• Maintain account terms and grow key group accounts.
• Manage sample mailings and sales materials with Trade sales support team.
