Job summary
Acuity Inc. is seeking a Sales Representative to drive demand and sales for our electronics portfolio in the NYC metro market. This on-site role focuses on lighting controls, LED drivers, and related software solutions, supported by strong technical and commercial advisory skills.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years in sales, and Overnight travel of 21-40% across the NYC area. Travel expectations and compensation are aligned with market conditions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of the lighting and/or controls business.
- Overnight travel required. Percentage of travel based upon geographic needs.
Responsibilities
- Build and strengthen relationships with targeted NYC specifiers and contractors.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities in the NYC market.
- Collaborate with sales teams to support NYC-driven projects.
- Apply ABS tools and methodologies to improve sales effectiveness.
- Represent the company in NYC industry organizations and events.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and technical tools to analyze data and communicate.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to uncover growth opportunities.
