Job summary

Acuity is seeking a Sales Representative to drive demand and sales for its electronics portfolio in the New York City Metro market. The role acts as a trusted advisor from discovery through project execution, aligning cross-functional teams to deliver customer value.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in sales or technical solutions, with knowledge of lighting controls or related technologies, and strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant sales or technical solutions experience.
• Working knowledge of lighting controls, electronics, or connected building technologies preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• High technical aptitude and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and strengthen relationships with NYC-based specifiers, consulting engineers, architects, contractors, and other influencers.
• Drive sales growth across Acuity’s electronics portfolio, including lighting controls, LED drivers, emergency solutions, software, and services.
• Provide application guidance and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Electronics Sales Managers, agents, distributors, and regional sales teams.
