Job summary

Ontra is seeking an IT Support Engineer to be the on-the-ground IT and office presence for its New York office. The role requires in-office presence three days per week, handling hardware, software, and networking issues, and ensuring conference rooms and devices operate smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of hands-on IT/help desk experience, AV/desktop support skills, and the ability to work independently on-site while coordinating with a fully remote IT Operations team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on IT or help desk experience including hardware/software troubleshooting.
• AV/desktop support experience including peripherals and networking basics.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and perform light office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own on-site IT support for the New York office, resolving hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Keep conference rooms meeting-ready with AV checks.
• Set up desks, equipment, and accounts for new hires.
• Triage and resolve in-office and global tickets, supporting remote operations.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage office inventory and supplies.
• Collaborate with a remote IT Operations team via Slack and ticketing systems.
