Job summary

Ontra in New York City is hiring an IT Support Engineer to be the on-the-ground presence for our brand-new NYC office. You will own daily IT tasks, keep conference rooms and equipment running smoothly, and enable the remote IT Ops team to focus on broader systems.

We seek hands-on problem solvers with 4+ years in IT or help desk, strong AV/desktop support, and comfort with light office logistics. This role requires in-office work three days per week in NYC and collaboration with a distributed

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on IT or help desk support experience.
• Experience with AV/conference room technology and desktop support.
• Ability to lift and move light office equipment as needed.
• Comfort working on-site three days a week in NYC.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and modern IT tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own On-site IT Support: be the go-to resource for the NYC office, resolving hardware, software and network issues.
• Keep Conference Rooms Meeting-Ready: run AV checks so meetings start on time.
• Set New Hires Up For Success: prepare desks, equipment and accounts for new employees.
• Support Ticket Queue: triage and resolve in-office and global tickets, supporting remote ops.
• Keep the Office Running Smoothly: coordinate with vendors, track inventory and handle light facilities tasks.
• Partner Closely With a Remote Team: collaborate with the remote IT Operations team via Slack and tickets.
