Job summary

Project Renewal is seeking a Housing Coordinator to manage about 45 scattered-site apartments in the Bronx and Manhattan under the PSTP, Re-Entry Housing program. You’ll oversee lease administration, unit prep, repairs coordination, and client housing needs to promote stability and successful community reintegration.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work with landlords, vendors, and case workers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid New York State driver’s license preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with multi-priority work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with property management/databases preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or multilingual candidates strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage approximately 45 scattered-site apartments in the Bronx and Manhattan.
• Handle lease administration, apartment prep, furnishing, and move-in readiness.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs; respond to housing needs and safety checks.
• Identify and secure new housing opportunities; maintain landlord relationships.
• Prepare reports for the Program Director and track inspections and occupancy.
• Oversee HQS inspections and ensure safety compliance in units.
• Maintain inventory of keys, furniture, and equipment; manage vendor invoices.
• Collaborate with Case Managers and Housing Counselors on housing stability.
