Job summary

HeyTutor has partnered with a Brooklyn, New York school site to provide in-person tutoring to elementary students (ELA, grades K-2). Applicants must have completed an Associate’s degree or higher and seek meaningful, community-focused work with consistent hours and competitive pay. The role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm.

You will tutor groups using the provided curriculum, track attendance and progress, and assist with assessments. An in-person FBI-DOJ background check is required.

Qualifications

• AA degree or higher is required.
• Experience with children or tutoring is preferred.
• Comfortable tutoring Elementary School ELA.
• Ability to manage large groups independently.

Responsibilities

• Tutor groups of students without direct teacher supervision.
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials.
• Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment.
• Support positive student behavior and participation.
• Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Assist with student assessments when requested.
• Escort students to and from designated areas on campus.
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

About the Role

HeyTutor has partnered with a school site in Brooklyn New York to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to elementary school students. Applicants must have completed an Associate’s degree or higher.

Requirements

• Completed AA degree or higher
• Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
