Job summary

HeyTutor is partnering with a Bronx elementary school to provide in-person tutoring for students in grades 3–5. Applicants must have an Associate’s degree or higher and be comfortable tutoring ELA and Math.

An FBI-DOJ background check is required. This role offers consistent Monday–Friday hours, competitive hourly pay of $32–$38 based on education and experience, and benefits such as occasional health coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• AA degree or higher required.
• Experience with children or tutoring preferred.
• Comfortable tutoring ELA and Math for grades 3–5.
• Ability to manage large groups of students independently.
• Pass FBI-DOJ in-person background check.

Responsibilities

• Tutor groups of students without direct teacher supervision.
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials.
• Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment.
• Support positive student behavior and participation.
• Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Assist with student assessments when requested.
• Escort students to and from designated areas on campus.
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

About the Role

HeyTutor has partnered with a school site in The Bronx, New York to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to elementary school students. Applicants must have completed an Associate’s degree or higher.
