Goodwin Recruiting seeks an Area Manager for New York City to lead multiple café concepts, ensuring top service, quality, and brand integrity across locations. You will drive revenue, optimize labor costs, and guide General Managers to build high-performing teams.

The role requires 3–5 years in multi-unit restaurant leadership, travel across NYC, and a strong focus on guest engagement and operational excellence within a dynamic hospitality group.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of multi-unit restaurant or hospitality leadership experience.
• Experience overseeing 4–7+ locations is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage P&L, labor costs, and KPIs.
• Demonstrated success coaching and developing General Managers.
• Strong financial acumen, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the NYC market.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across multiple café locations, ensuring service, quality and brand standards.
• Partner with General Managers to monitor financial performance, labor management and KPIs.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, margins and operational efficiency.
• Coach and mentor leadership teams to build a strong talent pipeline and internal growth.
• Foster an inclusive, positive workplace culture that supports engagement and retention.
• Champion hospitality and initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
• Maintain standards for cleanliness, food quality, safety and guest experience.
