Job summary

TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Assistant Director of Educational Services in New York, NY to support special education program operations, staff leadership, and educational service delivery within a school-based environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in Special Education, New York State certification (SPED) with SBL or SAS, at least 5 years of SPED teaching and 3 years of school administration experience, and strong organizational and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Special Education is required.
• New York State certification in Special Education and SBL or SAS required.
• Minimum of 5 years of SPED teaching experience and 3 years of school administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily educational program operations across educational, clinical, administrative, and support service functions.
• Support recruitment, training, supervision, and development of educational and clinical staff.
• Assist with curriculum oversight, policy implementation, program planning, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Prepare reports and support compliance with educational regulations, agency policies, and operational standards.
• Serve as a liaison with parents, school districts, community organizations, and external partners.
• Support budgeting, student placement decisions, program expansion initiatives, and departmental projects.
