A respected NYC-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities through specialized education, clinical care, and comprehensive community-based programs is seeking an experienced Director of Education Program Services to lead educational programming at one of their schools.

Qualifications

• Master of Education (Special Education) required.
• New York State certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• NYS School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) certification.
• At least 5 years of Special Education teaching experience.
• At least 4 years of school administration experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, staff management and program oversight experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily school and program operations, including educational, clinical, medical, and support services
• Lead, supervise, and develop educational and multidisciplinary staff
• Oversee curriculum development, classroom assignments, and student placements
• Manage program budgets, staffing, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
• Build strong relationships with families, school districts, community organizations, and outside agencies
• Drive program development, continuous improvement, and long-term planning
