Job summary

TAG MedStaffing is seeking a Director of Educational Services in New York, NY to lead school-based educational programming and service delivery for our client.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in Special Education, NYS certification in SPED with SBL or SAS, and at least 5 years of SPED teaching plus 4 years in school administration, guiding families, districts, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, compliant programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Special Education is required.
• New York State certification in Special Education and SBL or SAS certification are required.
• Minimum 5 years of SPED teaching and 4 years of school administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of SPED programming and school operations.
• Proficiency with MS Office, email, and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage daily educational program operations across educational, clinical, administrative functions.
• Supervise and mentor educational and clinical staff; oversee staffing and performance management.
• Assist with program planning, curriculum oversight, policy development, and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, reporting requirements, and standards.
• Coordinate with families, school districts, community organizations, and external providers.
• Support budgeting, planning, placement, and program expansion initiatives.
