Job summary

University of New Orleans invites applications for a data liaison role with the OPH-Bureau of Family Health to support LA-VDRS data collection and outreach to coroners and law enforcement statewide.

You will ensure data are collected in accordance with CDC NVDRS standards, perform data entry, assist with protocol updates, participate in annual data closeout and national TA calls, and support emergency operations as needed, including coordination with state agencies and local partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience as stated.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage projects and competing priorities effectively.
• Proficient in Zoom, Teams and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Support LA-VDRS data collection activities for NVDRS data.
• Outreach to coroners and law enforcement statewide to maintain records access.
• Serve as the data collection liaison with law enforcement and coroner offices.
• Ensure records data are collected per CDC NVDRS standards.
• Perform data entry and assist with NVDRS surveillance protocols.
• Participate in annual data closeout activities and national TA calls.
• Join internal meetings and trainings; assist with special projects.
• Support coordination of Emergency Operations during activations.
