Job summary

Heritage Hall Nursing Homes is seeking a Director of Food & Nutrition to plan and direct the Dietary Department, ensuring nutritious meals and high standards of sanitation and safety for patients. You will lead a team of food service staff to maintain quality and consistency in meal preparation across shifts.

The role requires nutrition leadership with registered dietitian credentials or equivalent qualifications, plus healthcare food service supervision experience.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Hold a bachelor’s degree with major in food and nutrition and at least two years of health care nutrition experience
• Completed an approved program in food service supervision including major coursework in food and nutrition
• Certified by the Certifying Board of Dietary Managers with major coursework in food and nutrition
• Completed a U.S. Armed Services course in food service supervision with emphasis in nutrition
• Documented two years of satisfactory work experience in food service supervision and enroll in an approved program within 60 days of accepting responsibility
• Must be a graduate of state or ADA approved course in food services
• One year of experience in hospital or long-term care facility food service
• Minimum of one-year supervisory experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals

• Lead planning and directing the total operation of the Dietary Department
• Ensure quality nutritious meals so patients have the highest quality of life
• Direct and supervise a team of food service employees to maintain high standards of food preparation, sanitation, and safety
