Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, FL is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to prepare and assemble hot and cold items for patients, following standardized recipes and production requirements. You will stock and rotate pantry items, assist with inventory and sanitation, and deliver meals to patient trays with proper identification.

The role requires English communication, basic food service experience, and adherence to safety and HAACP standards.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate in English (Required).
• HAACP standards knowledge preferred.
• Food safety and sanitation knowledge preferred.
• Food preparation experience preferred.
• Dish machine and minor kitchen equipment familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items and beverages per recipes and production requirements.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments; maintain inventory records and billing docs.
• Serve meals on trays, record temperatures, deliver trays to patients with proper ID protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment; operate dishroom and cafe registers; log sanitation data.

Job Description:

Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency. Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation. Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations. Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed. Other duties as assigned.
