Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Supervisor - Nutrition Services to oversee daily staff activities within Food Services. You will ensure service levels are met, drive service excellence, and coordinate staffing to support patient and staff dining needs.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in foodservice, with Sanitation or ServSafe certification within six months of hire, and an associate degree in related fields preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Food Service preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Sanitation or ServSafe within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: 3–5 years supervisory experience in a foodservice operation.

• Manages staffing levels and scheduling to meet service needs.
• Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.

• Leads handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Supervisor - Nutrition Services supervises daily staff activities for Food Services

What you’ll do:

• Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
• Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
• Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
• Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

What we’re looking for:

• Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree(GED) Associate's Degree in Food Service or related work experience preferred
• Licensure / Certification: Completion of Sanitation Certification Course or ServSafe Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: Prefer three to five years supervisory experience in a foodservice operation.
