Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH is seeking a Supervisor - Nutrition Services to oversee daily Food Services operations. The role supervises staff, coordinates staffing, and ensures service levels are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include training, coaching, and handling complex issues, with a focus on delivering first-class patient and guest service in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Food Service or related work experience preferred.
• Sanitation/ServSafe certification within 6 months of hire.

About The Job

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Supervisor - Nutrition Services supervises daily staff activities for Food Services

What You'll Do

• Exhibits each of the Mount Carmel Service Excellence Behavior Standards holding self and others accountable and role modeling excellence for all to see. For example: demonstrates friendliness and courtesy, effective communication creates a professional environment and provides first class service.
• Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients
• Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels. Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree(GED)
• Associate's Degree in Food Service or related work experience preferred
• Licensure / Certification: Completion of Sanitation Certification Course or ServSafe Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: Prefer three to five years supervisory experience in a foodservice operation.
