Job summary

Under the direction of Nutrition Services Managers, this role coordinates staff activities, supports quality and sanitation standards, assists with scheduling and employee performance, and helps ensure timely service for patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years of supervisory or lead experience; healthcare or food-service experience preferred.
• Current ServSafe Food Safety Manager certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing and schedules for upcoming shifts.
• Serve as a working lead and coordinate daily food-service operations.
• Monitor employee productivity and identify opportunities to improve service and efficiency.
• Support opening, closing, and daily operational procedures, including cash-handling controls.
• Promote a safe working environment and report accidents or injuries according to policy.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, equipment, refrigerators, floors, walls, and other food-service areas.
• Monitor refrigeration and dish-machine temperatures and ensure HACCP and sanitation standards are followed.
• Conduct required environmental and food-safety checks and report concerns appropriately.
• Provide education and direction to employees regarding job duties, safety, sanitation, and standardized recipes.
• Assist with employee performance monitoring, scheduling, orientation, and training.
• Work in various positions as needed to support quality and timely service.
• Assist department management with achieving departmental goals.
