Meritus Health in Hagerstown, MD, is seeking a Coordinator, Nutrition Services to help lead daily food production and service operations. Under the direction of Nutrition Services Managers, this role coordinates staff activities, supports quality and sanitation standards, assists with scheduling and employee performance, and helps ensure timely service for patients, staff, and visitors.

The Coordinator acts as a working lead, maintains compliance with Joint Commission and state health

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years of supervisory or lead experience; healthcare or food-service experience preferred.
• Current ServSafe Food Safety Manager certification preferred.

  The posted range is the budgeted amount for this position. The actual rate of pay will be determined based on several factors, including your relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, and alignment with Meritus Health’s compensation practices.

Meritus Health is seeking a Coordinator, Nutrition Services to help lead daily food production and service operations. Under the direction of the Nutrition Services Managers, this position coordinates staff activities, supports quality and sanitation standards, assists with scheduling and employee performance, and helps ensure efficient and timely service for patients, staff, and visitors.

The Coordinator serves as a working lead and helps maintain compliance with Joint Commission, Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Washington County Health Department, and departmental policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing and schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for upcoming shifts.
• Obtain qualified replacements when needed while following departmental scheduling policies.
• Serve as a working lead and coordinate daily food-service operations.
• Monitor employee productivity and recommend opportunities to improve service and efficiency.
• Support opening, closing, and daily operational procedures, including cash-handling controls.
• Promote a safe working environment and report accidents or injuries according to policy.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, equipment, refrigerators, floors, walls, and other food-service areas.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: 2–5 years of supervisory or lead experience required. Previous healthcare or food-service experience, or appropriate education, is preferred.

Certification: Current ServSafe Food Safety Manager certification preferred.
