Job summary

ISD 622 is seeking a Nutrition Services Assistant Float for district-wide schools. This 6-hour-per-day, 9-month position supports meal prep, serving, cashiering, and basic kitchen tasks, with adherence to nutrition policies and sanitation standards.

You will enter temperatures, track food usage, and assist the Kitchen Manager. The role requires teamwork with students, staff, and parents, plus reliability and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must obtain School Nutrition Association certification within one year of employment.
• Cashiering ability is required.
• Ability to work with computers or willingness to learn.
• Must have transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving school meals.
• Cashering duties as assigned.
• Enter temperatures on temperature sheets and record food usage on the pick list.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with daily tasks as requested.
• Help with cooking, cleaning, dishwashing, cleaning spills and inventory as needed.

Schedule: 9 months, 5 days per week.

Academic year position responsible for providing support in all aspects of preparing and serving school meals, meeting and maintaining Nutrition Services policies, including sanitation and safety standards. Function as a cashier as assigned. Enter temperatures on temperature sheets, enter food used on the pick list, and provide assistance to the Kitchen Manager as requested. Provide assistance in cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, cleaning spills as needed, taking inventory or any other duty as assigned
