Job summary

North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale Schools is seeking a part-time Nutrition Services Assistant at Castle Elementary School. The role supports meal preparation and serving, enforces nutrition policies, and may include cashier duties.

The incumbent will follow district sanitation standards and assist the Kitchen Manager as needed. The position is 9 months per year, approximately 4 hours daily, with responsibilities ranging from inventory to basic cooking and cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Nutrition Services policies, including sanitation and safety standards.
• Function as a cashier as assigned.
• Enter temperatures on temperature sheets; enter food used on the pick list.
• Provide assistance to the Kitchen Manager as requested.
• Assist in cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, cleaning spills as needed, taking inventory or any other duty as assigned.

• Occasional climbing and crawling.
• Standing for long periods of time as well as stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing and climbing.
