Job summary

Spring Lake Park Schools is seeking a Part Time Nutrition Services Associate at Woodcrest Elementary Spanish Immersion. The 4 HOURS/DAY position runs 178 days per year with wage of $21.15 per hour.

An additional $1.00/hr differential is offered if you hold a Certified Food Protection Manager certification, plus longevity pay options. Responsibilities include food prep, serving, cashiering, and dish machine operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass background check and pre-work physical.
• Provide three professional references.
• Working knowledge of computers including email is required.
• Experience in food service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as assigned by the kitchen manager including food prep, serving, cashiering, and operating a dish machine.
• Maintain a friendly and professional attitude with students, staff and coworkers.
• Attend job-related training classes/workshops to meet professional standards (4 hours/year).
• Follow SOP and HACCP guidelines and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation per Minnesota Food Code.

Position Description;
TITLE:Part Time Nutrition Services Associate - entry level position
LOCATION: Woodcrest Elementary Spanish Immersion
HOURS: 4 HOURS/DAY;
DUTY DAYS:178 TOTAL Days - according to the school year calendar
168 STUDENT CONTACT DAYS
8 PAID HOLIDAYS
2 TRAINING DAYS
Wage/Benefits Information:

Group Nutrition Services

Rate of Pay $21.15/hr

Additional $1.00/hr differential if employee holds Certified Food Protection Manager certification. Longevity pay $1.50-$2.75/hr

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will perform duties as assigned by the kitchen manager including but not limited to; food prep, serve, cashier and operate a dish machine
Must maintain a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with all students, staff and co-workers
Must attend job-related training classes and workshops in order to meet the professional standards guidelines of 4 hours/year
Will follow Department Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
Must maintain high standards and working knowledge of food safety and sanitation pursuant to the Minnesota Food Code.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have earned a high school diploma or equivalent
The successful candidate must complete and pass a background check and a pre-work physical
The successful candidate mustprovide and pass 3 professional reference checks
The successful candidate must have working knowledge of computers to include but not limited to email
Ability to pass a pre-work physical
Experience working in the food service industry is preferred

PREFERENCES:
Must have a pleasant disposition towards students while serving breakfast and lunch.
