Job summary

The Villages on MacArthur in McKinney, TX is seeking a Nutrition Services Dietary Aide-Dishwasher to support our food service team in creating a positive dining experience for residents.

You will assist with meal preparation, service, room setup, and daily kitchen cleaning while following food safety guidelines, sanitation practices, and attendance expectations in a well‑regarded senior living community.

Qualifications

• Food handlers’ card required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Must have fundamental understanding of sanitations, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Must be able to tactfully communicate with co-workers, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.
• Must have regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Safe Food Handling: Understands and follows guidelines for food handling and storage; tests and records temperatures; discards expired items; uses protective wear and follows infection control policies.
• Food Preparation: Prepares food using standardized recipes; ensures proper portion control and timing; uses tools to aid production and prep in advance.
• General Food Service Duties: Serves meals with correct portions; cleans and sanitizes kitchen and equipment; sets up dining rooms and maintains service areas; stores and reheat leftovers; supports other staff; completes kitchen close duties.
