Job summary

INTERLAKES COMMUNITY ACTION PARTNERSHIP in Martin, SD seeks a Nutrition Cook to ensure appealing, safe, and nutritionally-targeted meals for participants. This full-time position collaborates with the Site Manager on menus and maintains daily kitchen operations to meet program standards.

You will prep, cook, and serve meals, monitor sanitation, document logs, and assist with inventory and volunteer coordination, contributing to a smooth daily meal service.

Qualifications

• Food-service experience and strong sanitation habits.
• Comfort with recordkeeping and basic technology.
• Reliable teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Site Manager on menu planning.
• Prepare, cook, and serve meals per menu and nutrition requirements using approved recipes.
• Operate and care for kitchen equipment (dishwasher, stove, knives, microwave, etc.).
• Document food temperatures, portions, meals served, and consumption.
• Order and inventory food/supplies; rotate and store items correctly.
• Maintain sanitation of tables, utensils, handwashing, trash.
• Secure food, supplies, and equipment; coordinate volunteers.
• Handle basic computer/phone/calculator tasks plus invoice accuracy.
